"What to do when its Phew....."
Here are a few handy tips for you and your home........
Stay cool indoors by closing curtains on rooms that face the sun
Switch of non essential electrical items that may generate heat in your home - computers and chargers can easily overheat
Drink plenty of fluids and don't drink too much alcohol (the sugar is bad for you and falling over isn't much fun either!) &- gum disease is more likely to be present in people with a dry mouth, so water is the way forward :-)
Eat lighter, salads, fruits & vegetables are full high water content and wont overheat your digestive system, and they are kinder on teeth than too many Ice creams - think of the sensitivity!
Keep out of the sun between 11am and 3pm when the sun's rays are strongest (because that's when its super hot!)
Keep in the shade, use sunscreen with a high SPF and UVA rating, and wear a wide-brimmed hat, overheating is so dangerous so keep a cool head
Avoid physical exercise in the hottest part of the day - because that's just bonkers!
Take water with you if travelling, and make sure you hydrate often throughout the day.... yes I'm nagging about the water! :-)
Be aware of hidden dangers in rivers and open water if tempted to cool off, and always check how deep.... diving in and losing teeth could be and awful way to end a beach day!
Wear light and comfortable clothing and shoes, we often swell up a little as the temperature rises, so make sure your comfy and cool & don't worry if it doesn't match! just be cool
And for your teeth......
Remember to Brush - Humidity and heat can throw off our daily routines so don't forget to brush before bed
And if you do indulge in an Ice cream or two and notice any sensitivity then please don't hesitate to contact us, we're here to help.
Enjoy the sun & stay safe
