This patient presented with pain associated with the lower left first molar (LL6) one year after completing root canal treatment. Clinical examination and periapical radiographs revealed a failed root canal treatment, a large periapical lesion, and over-obturation of the distal root canal. Following a detailed discussion regarding the available treatment options, including the benefits, risks, and the possibility that non-surgical retreatment may not be successful, the patient chose to proceed with root canal retreatment. Throughout the treatment, the patient was reviewed weekly to allow thorough cleaning and decontamination of the root canal system. Once signs of healing and a reduction in the periapical lesion were evident, the root canal treatment was successfully completed by Dr. Samatha Ravipati.
The radiographs are presented in chronological order, demonstrating the journey from the initial diagnosis, through retreatment, to the follow-up review.
The final treatment radiograph still demonstrates the previously over-obturated distal canal together with a sealer puff in the mesial canal. However, the most recent review radiograph taken four months later shows complete healing of the periapical lesions, confirming a successful clinical outcome. The tooth will continue to be reviewed periodically to monitor long-term healing.

This patient presented with pain in the lower anterior teeth. Clinical examination and periapical radiographs revealed periapical lesions associated with all four lower incisors. Following a comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, root canal treatment was successfully completed on all four teeth by Dr. Samatha Ravipati.
The radiographs are presented in chronological order, demonstrating the progression from the initial diagnosis, through treatment, to the follow-up review. The latest radiographs show ongoing healing of the periapical lesions. Although complete healing has not yet occurred, the radiographic changes are encouraging and consistent with the normal healing process following successful root canal treatment. Continued review will monitor further resolution over time.

Another successfully treated tooth under the NHS by Dr. S. Ravipati.

A lovely 53-year-old patient presented with severe pain in the upper left first molar, accompanied by an infection. Following a full clinical examination and investigations, Dr. Ravipati carried out root canal treatment on the upper left first molar under the NHS.

An 11-month review, including a control radiograph, showed complete healing of the lesion and a successful outcome for the patient.
