£5 for under 5s, £15 from 6 to 11, and £25 from 11 to 17.

Bringing them young makes a real difference. It's less about finding problems at that age and more about them getting used to the chair, so that by the time anything does need doing, it isn't a big deal.

Everything on this list gets remembered, but the mouthguard usually doesn't...

If they play rugby or hockey, it's worth getting one made properly. The boil-and-bite ones from the sports shop tend to be bulky, shift about mid-game, and end up on the sidelines.

A custom one is made from a scan of their teeth, so it stays where it should and they can still talk in it.

A heads up about Invisalign fees 👀

HMRC has changed how clear aligners are treated for VAT. It applies when the aligners are made and supplied, so they now cost us more to provide. It isn't a tax on your treatment, and it isn't a change we'd have chosen.

We've held off saying anything until we knew where we stood. As a small independent practice we can't absorb it all, so our Invisalign fees will be going up.

If it's something you've been considering, come in for a chat. We'll go through the current figures with you properly, and there's no obligation either way.

Our lovely patient has just finished her Invisalign treatment and we couldn't be happier for her 😍

Clear aligners, worn around 22 hours a day and swapped every week or two as your teeth move into place. You take them out to eat and brush, and most people won't notice you're wearing them at all 🤫

Dr Mittal is a Diamond Invisalign provider, so you're always in experienced hands!

Sadly the aligner arch isn't really outside number 14, though we'd be lying if we said we hadn't considered it 🤭

What is true is that Dr Mittal is a Diamond Invisalign provider, which means she's completed a high number of cases and works with Invisalign at one of their most experienced levels. In practice it means clearer planning, fewer surprises, and someone who has seen most things before.
