A Message for Nervous or Unsure Newly Qualified Nurses
If you’re a newly qualified dental nurse and you’re feeling a little unsure about locuming, please know this — you’re not alone, and it’s completely normal to feel that way at the start of your career.

I work with many nurses who felt exactly the same in the beginning: nervous, overwhelmed, or worried they “weren’t ready yet.”
But with the right support, they found their confidence — slowly, steadily, and in their own time.

Locuming can be a really gentle way to grow.
You choose the days you want to work, the shifts that feel manageable, and the pace that suits you. There’s no pressure to take on more than you’re comfortable with. You can ease yourself in, learn from different teams, and discover what kind of environment feels right for you.

And you won’t be doing it alone.
I’ll be here to guide you, answer your questions, and support you every step of the way. You can message me any time you’re unsure about something — that’s what I’m here for.

If you’re kind, willing to learn, and ready to take small steps forward, I’d be very happy to help you begin your locum journey.
You’ll be welcomed with patience, understanding, and encouragement.

If this feels like something you’d like to explore, just reach out when you’re ready.

It's the weekend, and what a week, so looking forward to two days of rest and relaxation. Four-day week next week, with the Easter holiday just around the corner, looking forward to warmer weather, sunnier ☀️days and good food and family get-togethers for the Easter break.

Had a lovely review from a nurse that has just started at the agency

When asked why she choose 1st call Agency from the others agencies that were advertising!
This was her reply.

Hello. Hope you had a good day! Of course I don’t mind answering! Your advert on indeed was so different to others, I really liked the wording about happy and vibrant team of nurses , dedicated team support etc. I don’t want to work for a big corporate I really value smaller businesses and take pride in being part of that! Then when we spoke on the phone you just really resonated with me and I got a really good feeling from you!

Looks like we are going in the right direction
Thank you Malissa for this.

With the new year underway and February fast approaching, we currently have availability for cover going into next month, February.
The agency is going through a period of regeneration, and with new nurses joining the team, we’re now able to support more practices and cover more bookings than before.
If you anticipate needing any cover, please either call, email or text.

For any practices that haven't used us before, we are running a promotion. Please call for details.
