When you look at this patient’s pre-treatment photos, you might think the first thing to do is to straighten their teeth, but in this case, it wasn’t.

In today’s video, Dr. Will is breaking down part one of this patient’s treatment plan, which involved using a functional appliance to correct their jaw and create a solid and stable foundation for additional treatments.

Transforming a smile - Part four

The best results aren’t about standing out; they’re about looking right.

To wrap up this patient’s transformation, we whitened the teeth to give him consistency and a brighter smile. But it wasn’t about creating an overly showy, aesthetic look.
The way I see it, when orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and aesthetics all come together with careful planning, the results shouldn’t stand out because they’re obvious, they should stand out because they look natural and right.

Dr. Will transformed Jon’s smile, getting him wedding-ready with braces and composite bonding.

Step one was getting his natural smile as healthy as possible, with a few fillings and cleaning.

Then, it was time to give him a brighter, whiter, more uniform smile with metal braces and composite bonding on both his top and bottom teeth.

And, throughout the 2+ year process, we also helped him overcome his long-standing fear of the dentist - what a win!

Transforming a smile - Part three 🤩

Replacing a missing tooth with a resin bonded bridge.

After improving this patient's bite and using bonding to repair wear, it was time to finish off his smile by filling a gap where an adult tooth never came into place.

Sometimes, the best cosmetic dentistry isn't about doing more, so we opted for a resin bonded bridge that allows the natural tooth structure to stay in place.
