This afternoon Dr Charmaine, Dr Adam and Dr Michelle visited St George’s primary school in Redditch to speak to nursery and reception children about Oral Health.

Dr Adam and Dr Charmaine led an engaging and informative talk for the kids teaching them the importance of brushing, a good diet and visiting their dentist regularly!

Good habits start young, and here at Dentist at Redhouse we strive to encourage these.

Thank you to St George’s for making us feel so welcome and for our lovely thank you cards.

**COVID-19 UPDATE**

With the new announcements made by the government to ease covid restrictions we would like to make all patients aware that there are no immediate changes to our infection control requirements.

This includes the requirement for staff, patients and visitors to wear a mask/face covering in the healthcare setting, unless exempt. We still have to observe social distancing within the practice where possible and when attending appointments you may be asked to wait outside, so please be prepared for this.

Kind regards
Dentist@Redhouse

We are committed to keeping you, our loyal patients, staff and visitors safe during the pandemic.

Whilst the government is relaxing restrictions on Monday 19th July, we will continue to follow the advice released by the British Dental Association:

-Face masks are required for all patients in the building, unless exempt
-The front door will continue to remain closed
-We will still require a Covid screen prior to your appointment

We remain open to all registered patients for examinations, treatment and hygienist visits. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Kind regards

Dentist@Redhouse – Covid-19 Update

Thank you for your patience while we phase our return back to the new normal. We still only have a limited number of appointments available due to social distancing and we are prioritising urgent and emergency patients.

If you have any dental related issue or problem please contact the practice so that we can discuss this with you and offer you a face to face appointment if suitable. We are able to carry out any procedure that is necessary to maintain and stabilise your dental health.

It will still take some time before services return to normal so please bear with us.

If you wish to book a hygiene appointment or are due one, please contact the practice to arrange an appointment. Even though we may have to delay your routine examination due to the limited number of appointments available with a dentist it’s still important to maintain your oral hygiene. The hygienist will be able to assess your mouth during the appointment and refer you to a dentist at the practice if they think it is necessary.

Please do not attend the practice unless you have an appointment booked.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our surgery. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment:
· Our practice will send you a link to some forms via text/email, it is important that all the forms are completed prior to attending the practice. If you have any issues please call us.
· We have hand sanitiser that we will ask you to use when you enter the practice. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the practice for you to use as needed.
· Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
· The dentist and nurse will already have the appropriate PPE on when you attend. Although you may not be able to recognise us with our PPE on, we are the same friendly team that have been looking after you previously.
· Reception will look different with 2 metres between the chairs and a screen on the desk.

We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
How you can help:
• With the exception of children and patients with carers, patients should come alone to the appointment.
• A distance of at least 2 metres must be observed if another patient is present in the dental practice.
• Staff will not greet you by shaking your hand.
• If you show any symptoms before your appointment you should contact the practice by phone.
• Please wait outside the practice or in your car, please let us know you are here by calling us or knocking on the door.
• Please do not arrive at the practice without a booked appointment.
• Patients should come wearing a mask/face covering.
• Please use the toilet facilities at home before your appointment as they will not be available to use at the practice.

We will update you again when we are able to start seeing patients for more routine appointments.

Kind Regards

We are aiming to phase our reopening so are only able to see emergency and urgent patients initially. We have a limited number of appointments available and are only able to offer a small range of treatments at this time. Any emergency treatments that require us to use the highspeed drill (AGP procedures) will need to be referred to an urgent dental centre if suitable. It will still take some time before services return to normal.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

As some of you may know, today guidance has been released that from the 8th June dental practices can start to reopen. However, this will not mean that normal service will commence immediately.

Our priority has always and will be the health and safety of our patients and team members. Therefore we are working on a gradual and phased return to providing patient care over the coming months.

We very much look forward to caring for all of our patients in the future and we will provide more details as soon as we have further information.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Kind Regards
The Dentist@Redhouse Team

COVID-19 Update:

It is our priority to get back to treating our patients as soon as possible, but as safely as we can. However, we are still awaiting clarity on a number of issues from the government, our governing bodies and the chief dental officer.

We are unable to reopen until it is deemed safe and appropriate for us to do so, with measures in place to protect our patients and team.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Our phone lines are open from 9-5 Monday-Friday for help and advice if you have a dental emergency.

Kind Regards
