Dr Claire’s patient asked for specific improvements to her lips.

Achieving balance in the lower face is a skill, especially when it comes to enhancing the lips and chin. Dr Claire’s patient wanted to improve her lips — defining and hydrating without being “over done”.

Using a delicate filler that sits well superficially, Dr Claire gave the lip border a sharper appearance and a small amount was added to the body of the lip for this natural hydrated look.
Filler was also used in the chin area to get the balance and symmetrical results shown here.

Dr Claire explains how she achieved these stunning, natural balanced results.

“This patient underwent an 8ml full face rejuvenation treatment to restore her sense of self. Following the procedure the patient felt “Blown away,” by the outcome.

Treatment Areas:

Mid-face and Lateral Cheeks: Dr C used high-viscosity filler to enhance volume and structural integrity.

Chin and Jawline: A series of techniques were used - targeting the pre-auricular and mental fat pad to reconnect and refine the chin and jawline.

Lips and Corners of the Mouth: Use of a delicate filler to hydrate the lips, elevate the corners of the mouth, and soften the nasolabial fold.
This approach revitalised the face while always maintaining a natural look.

Full face rejuvenation treatments can be done over a couple of appointments or in one sitting, but all this will be discussed in an initial consultation with Dr Claire.

Lip correction and slim lips.

There are a number of different reasons patients come to us for lip filler apart from enhancement.

In the first two pictures you can see a slight downturn at the corners of the mouth, usually caused by age, and a slight asymmetric upper slim lip. The results were the correction of all the issues mentioned. So we lifted the corners of the mouth using a ‘stronger’ filler for support and then balanced the upper lip, adding volume and hydration. We then needed to make the lips in proportion, so a small amount of filler was added into the lower lip. The lower lip should always be slightly larger than the upper.

The second set of before and after pictures show another slim lip and the final result. The patient had a really good shape to her lips, but understandably wanted more volume. These look so natural, no migration, no over filling with a safe and reputable product.

Don’t be afraid of lip enhancement.

Every set of lips we do at Dr Hennessy’s Clinics are made for the individual.

The lips in this post are a beautiful shape, but the patient wanted a more balanced, fuller top lip. We agreed with her.
The after picture shows the lips immediate after the treatment. There is some slight swelling but this will go down within the week and then they are yours to paint and pout with.

Let’s talk lips though.

This treatment does not give you an immediate result, it’s a treatment that needs time investment and the knowledge that the results are going to be subtle but the changes are there.

When Sculptra is injected into the skin, it triggers a natural inflammatory response. This response leads to the growth of new collagen fibres.
