Auricular hematoma usually occurs after blunt trauma to the ear. It is important to recognise and manage auricular hematomas since they may lead to chondritis, cartilage necrosis, infection and secondary deformity commonly known as “cauliflower ear”. It is also crucial to assess the internal ear using the otoscope and assess hearing as it may be affected from the trauma. This case presented to the ER with auricular hematoma which was drained using stab incisions and petrolatum gauze applied as a bolster dressing and stabilised using mattress sutures to avoid re-collection. Anesthesia to the pinna was achieved by field block to block auriculotemporal, great auricular and lesser occipital branches. Case was done with my friend and coworker .mohannad_1994

The Anterior ilium is one of the most favoured sites for autogenous bone grafts by oral & maxillofacial surgeons. Here, I’m taking a cortical shell from the medial cortex by the piezotome and cancellous bone particles to be used simultaneously by the second team to augment an alveolar cleft defect.
