We aim to keep all of our patients mouths as healthy as possible, which can help in keeping you in good health generally. We will advise you at an examination of any concerns, issues or problems we find, then through discussion and planning with you, find a solution to return you to dental health that we are all happy with. Our practice aim is to provide you, as an individual, with a pleasant experience of visiting 'the dentist' in unique and beautiful surroundings, in a relaxed way. Since opening our doors nearly 23 years ago, we’ve welcomed over 10,000 individual patients through our practice! 🦷💜💚

And that’s just the number of individual patients! When you think about all the patients who have returned to us over the years for routine check-ups, hygiene visits, treatments and ongoing dental care, the total number of appointments and visits would be incredible — and far too many to calculate! 😊

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of so many patients’ dental journeys over the years.

Meet Ludo 🐾

Meet Ludo! While he isn’t an official member of the Lime Tree team, he’s far too cute not to have his own introduction.

You’ll usually find Ludo enjoying himself in the garden at Lime Tree, often with his favorite ball firmly in his mouth. Although he doesn’t officially work here, he certainly keeps everyone entertained while they’re waiting for their appointments. He loves nothing more than chasing a ball up and down the garden and having a good play.

Ludo isn’t allowed inside the practice, but he can often be found lounging happily in the garden. He’s very friendly and always ready for some attention and a game.

If dogs aren’t your thing, don’t worry! You’re more than welcome to relax in our reception area before your appointment. Ludo will be perfectly content snoozing away in the garden.

We think he’s an honorary member of the Lime Tree team! 🐶💚

Meet the Team – Kelly 🌿

Meet Kelly, our wonderful housekeeper! Kelly has been looking after Lime Tree Dental Practice for the past four years, and we’re so grateful for everything she does to keep the practice lovely, clean and organised for us and our patients.

Outside of the practice, Kelly certainly keeps busy! She runs around 10K most days and is currently training for the London Marathon. She also takes part in HYROX events — we’re not sure where she finds the time! 🏃‍♀️💪

🌿 Meet the Team – Daisy 🌿

Daisy has been part of the Lime Tree family for just over two years. Before joining us, she worked as an orthodontic nurse for eight years, bringing plenty of dental experience and knowledge with her.

She also looks after much of our marketing and social media, creating content to share what’s happening at Lime Tree Dental Practice and helping us connect with both our patients and the wider community.

As co-lead for decontamination, she also helps with audits and compliance, playing an important role behind the scenes in keeping the practice running smoothly and safely.

Living locally with her two sons, Daisy is proud to be part of the Lime Tree Dental Practice team and the wonderful community we have around us. 🌳💜💚

Meet the Team – Anita 🌿

Meet Anita, our wonderful Practice Manager!

Anita opened Lime Tree Dental Practice with Nick almost 23 years ago and has been an integral part of the practice ever since.

Over the years, Anita has been involved in many different parts of the Portishead community, through local schools, the PTFA, as a school governor, church safeguarding, teaching children’s liturgy, swimming, guiding, rowing, the RNLI family and volunteering with older people.

Anita looks after all our dental compliance and paperwork, making sure we’re up to date with all the policies and requirements we need to follow. She’s also a happy and friendly face on reception, where she will always go out of her way to help our patients and make them feel comfortable.

It has been a real privilege for Anita to be part of the Portishead community for so many years, building lasting relationships with our patients and their families. She is very proud to be part of our skilled and friendly dental team at Lime Tree Dental Practice. 💚

Amanda has been part of our team for an amazing 22 years, welcoming and supporting our patients with her calm, caring approach. She’s with us four days a week and plays a huge part in making everyone who walks through our doors feel comfortable and at ease.

Having lived in Portishead since primary school, Amanda has strong connections to our local community and truly understands the importance of providing a warm welcome.

Kerry has been a valued member of the Lime Tree team for the past 5 years and works with us three days a week, providing excellent support and care for our patients.

On Tuesdays, Kerry works alongside Scott as our dedicated implant and oral surgery nurse, helping to ensure our patients feel comfortable, supported, and well cared for throughout their treatment journey.

👋 Meet the Team – Ellie

This week we're introducing Ellie, one of our fantastic Dental Hygienists and Therapists.

Ellie joined the Lime Tree team three years ago and is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. She began her dental career as a dental nurse, gaining many years of valuable experience before qualifying as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist.

Alongside her role at Lime Tree, Ellie works two days a week in a specialist periodontal clinic, where she cares for patients with advanced gum disease. This specialist experience allows her to bring the latest knowledge, techniques and skills to our practice, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of preventative and periodontal care.

Whether you're visiting for a routine hygiene appointment, gum treatment or advice on improving your oral health, Ellie is dedicated to making every visit comfortable, informative and tailored to your individual needs.

Meet the Team: Emily, our Lead Dental Nurse 🌿

Next up in our team introductions is Emily! 😊

Emily is our Lead Dental Nurse and plays a vital role in supporting both our team and our patients. She is with us four days a week and takes on several important responsibilities within the practice, including being our Infection Control Co-Lead and Sedation Coordinator.

Emily is also our dedicated hygiene nurse, working closely with Ellie to provide excellent care and support for our patients throughout their hygiene journeys.

When she’s not in surgery, you’ll often find Emily in the office, helping with clinical management and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Emily also provides invaluable support to Scott and Kerry during implant and oral surgery procedures, helping our patients feel comfortable and well cared for every step of the way.

Her knowledge, organisation, and commitment make her an essential part of the Lime Tree team. 💚
