Courtney and I (Lauren) are setting off on our journey to Malawi, where we’ll be volunteering as dental nurses to provide essential treatment to those in need.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported and donated to help make this trip possible - we are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity. We are excited to make a difference💙

We would just like to say thank you to everyone who came and supported our charity event today. We raised £1663! This is a fantastic amount and it puts us well on our way to reaching our target.

We’re excited for two of our dental nurses as they will be volunteering with Dentaid the dental charity in Malawi 2025. They have been busy fundraising to volunteer as a dental nurses to provide safe, free dental treatment to some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world.

They are holding a fundraising event on Saturday 3rd August from 10am-2pm at Pickering Dental Practice.
There will be a raffle, cake stall, plant stall, tombola and much more!

Lauren and Courtney’s Volunteer Fundraising trip to Malawi 2025 with Dentaid

Our story
In July 2025, we will be flying out to Malawi for two weeks to volunteer with the charity Dentaid. We will be working alongside other volunteers and dentists, who will treat patients of all ages throughout our time there. These patients are suffering and need dental treatment due to limited access to dental services.

As volunteers, we will be working with dentists to run outreach clinics in schools, orphanages, prisons, slum areas, and community buildings. We will be providing safe, free dental treatment for some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world.

Lauren has been a dental nurse for 13 years, Courtney for 7 years and now we are both set to use our knowledge and passion to help others who are in need.

Dentaid is a fantastic charity, and we are thrilled to be taking part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We need to raise £3000 each. Your contribution will help with vital equipment, PPE, dental supplies, flights, and accommodation.
