Easter opening hours

Good Friday - open 8.30am-5.30pm

The practice will be closed on Monday 1st April for Easter.

We will be operating an emergency service 1st April from 10.00am to 12.00pm. If you have a dental emergency please contact the reception team on 01738 441159 and you will be allocated an appointment between 10.00am and 12.00pm.

The practice will reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday 2nd April.

Meet the team 🦷🦷🦷

Taha Ahmed is our fabulous dental therapist/hygienist who recently joined the practice in march.

Taha qualified with a bachelors degree in dentistry in 2016 from the university of medical science and technology in Sudan.

Taha loves all forms of dentistry but particularly finds himself drawn to treating and caring for patients gums and overall oral health.

Outside of the dental chair taha is a devoted family man treasuring every moment with his loved ones. He is soon to become a dad for the first time. Taha is always seeking out new adventures and exciting destinations and is a massive football fan!!

He has settled in amazing with our team and cannot wait to welcome all his patients 🦷🦷🦷🦷

Patient Information

As all patients are aware NHS dental fees increased and changed as of 1st November 2023.

We have experienced a lot of aggressive and rude patients in regards to their dental fees within their examination appointment. This is due to a new code which has been Introduced as of the 1st November.

Dentists can now charge for the following:

B001 code enhanced preventative advice and treatment.

This code includes any of the following below:

Periodontal maintenance therapy (advice)
Child smile
Scale and polish (if dentists deems suitable)
Fluoride application
Interdental cleaning advice

Your dental examinations are still free of charge but if your dentist provides the above advice or treatment a charge of £15.68 will occur.

I would like to stress that my staff will not be subject to verbal abuse from patients regarding Nhs fees. This is something we as a practice have no control over.

Rude and aggressive patients will be deregistered with immediate effect if this behaviour continues.

Our brilliant lead clinician Dr Glen Milne is offering consultations for dental implants in the practice.

Failed to attend appointments.

133 patients failed to attend their dental appointments from 1/12/23-24/01/2024!!!

Patients will be charged £2 per minute for missed appointments and short notice cancellations.

We would also like to remind patients that continued failed to attend appointments and short notice cancellations can result in deregistration from the practice.

Over the last month my staff has been subjected to rude and aggressive remarks due to the charges placed for failing to attend appointments. My dentists are self employed and if a patient fails to attend a dental appointment that is wasted appointment time resulting in non payment for the dentist and a wasted appointment that another patient could have used.

We ask all our patients to assure 24 hours notice for cancelling appointments.

Our dentists and hygienists work extremely
Hard and appointments are booked 4-5 months in advance.

Please respect their time to assure all patients can access the best care.
