Hi Everyone
We thought it was time for an update, were keen to keep you updated as the country has moved to level 0. Restrictions are still in place in all healthcare settings. Please see the attached letter for a more detailed explanation.

We still ask you attend only at the time of your appointment, and to adhere to social distancing we ask you remain outside the practice door until called in, we ask you use the hand sanitizer provided and wear a face mask.

Myra has officially retired 🥳
We had a lovely celebration on Friday for her and all her commitment and high standards to the practice over many many years 🦷
Myra would like to take this opportunity to thank the patients for adding joy to her retirement with the lovely well wishes , gifts and cards she has been overwhelmed and so grateful for all the kind words ☺️
She is now putting her feet up relaxing and time to reflect on a wonderful career which this practice has been very fortune to have been a big part of 🥰
Kathleen our new hygienist joins our team next week and we look forward to welcoming her into Abbey Dental Care 🙌🏻

Whatever challenges and changes your Christmas may involve we wish you a Happy Christmas 🎄! Thankyou for your support this year it really has meant so much to us, we looking forward to putting down the masks and gowns for a few days rest. Merry Christmas from your team at Abbey Dental Care 🎅🏼

Week 1 of return to work is nearly complete , it has been lovely to see some patients again and be able to offer some support and dentistry to those needing it the most . We continue on phase 2 or our return to dentistry for another few weeks , urgent care only.
We are still waiting on further guidance on how we can implement phase 3. We will update further when we can .
So for now we can’t book for routine checkups but it’s on the horizon 😊!
Our opening hours have been amended for phase 2 so If you have any questions our staff are available 9-5 Monday to Thursday and 8-4pm Friday . Keep brushing Keep flossing Keep smiling 😀

❗️ UPDATE ❗️Whilst you may have heard on the news yesterday that dental practices can reopen from Monday 22nd June unfortunately this does not include any routine or non urgent care. We are pleased to say we have everything in place for this date and will open from Monday to see emergency patients .
It is far from back to normal and anyone attending the practice will not be seen without prior telephone triage , assessment and arranged appointment. These measures although restrictive are for everyone’s health and safety on this phased return . We are unable to offer a full range of services as restrictions remain on all aerosol generating procedures and we are only able to run one surgery per day . For any patients who have been in contact during lockdown with dental issues one of our staff members will be contacting you next week for further triage and assessment.
Once again Thankyou for your understanding and patience during this time .
