🦷Vidya is an overseas-qualified dentist (2018) and an Advanced Hygienist with a strong clinical foundation in both Dental Therapy and Hygiene. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Periodontology from Perio School of London, which provides her with Advanced knowledge and skills in the Field.

🙂She emphasises educating patients on the importance of maintaining optimal oral health and also focuses on Preventive and Conservative Dentistry.

😊She provides tailored Periodontal treatment and takes great pride in offering support and reassurance to anxious patients.

👍Vidya provides the highest standard of care to all her patients and regularly attends specialist courses to stay up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. She also tries to upskill herself in dentistry.

💎She is also an active member of "Perio Club - a platform for ongoing education, development, clinical governance, and collaboration with Dr Reena Wadia and the wider Perio School Faculty".

🙂Outside her professional life, she is a trained classical dancer, loves crafting, and spends time with her family.

🦷The Longer a Cavity Is Ignored, the More Complex the Treatment Becomes.
❗️A cavity doesn't heal on its own. Tooth decay is a progressive disease that continues to destroy healthy tooth structure until it is treated. As the decay advances, preserving the tooth becomes increasingly difficult—and treatment typically becomes more complex.
✅Stage 1: Early Cavity
Decay is limited to the enamel and outer dentin. At this stage, most teeth can be restored with a simple dental filling, preserving nearly all of the natural tooth.
✅Stage 2: Deep Cavity
Once bacteria reach the pulp, the tooth may become painful or infected. Saving the tooth usually requires root canal treatment to remove the infected pulp, followed by a dental crown to strengthen and protect the weakened tooth.
✅Stage 3: Root Stump
When most of the crown has been destroyed, the tooth may no longer be restorable. Treatment often involves extraction, followed by a dental implant and dental crown to replace the missing tooth.
What begins as a straightforward filling can eventually require multiple procedures to restore function and appearance.
