Duston Dental Practice are looking for a new Dental Nurse to join our expanding team.
The Vacancy:
We are seeking a qualified or trainee dental nurse that is eager, motivated and passionate with excellent customer service skills to complement our established team at Duston Dental Practice.
We are a dedicated and friendly team that collaborates effectively and enjoy spending time together socially. We are looking for a team member confident working both on reception and in surgery. This is a customer facing role, duties include all tasks conducive to Dental Nursing as well as creating appointments, answering phone queries, answering emails, stock control, cash handling and cashing up. We use ‘Exact’ software; some knowledge of this is helpful, but full training will be given if necessary.
We expect qualified applicants to be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and to pass a Criminal Records Bureau check. The Practice will pay your GDC registration while you are working with us. Qualified applicants will also be asked to provide up-to-date proof of the necessary vaccinations and Hepatitis B immunity status.
About Us:
Duston Dental Practice has been providing high-quality dental care to patients in Duston and its surrounding areas since 1966, we take pride in our close-knit team and the rapport that we have built with our patients during this time. In September 2023, we became a fully private practice and have 9 surgeries across our two sites; 74 Main Road, Duston Village and 24 Kent Road, St Crispin Local Centre. We offer a range of specialist treatments including Invisalign, Implant Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics.
Our practice opening hours are 7.45am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We are looking for a Dental Nurse to join our full time team, our working week is 37 hours. We work compressed full time hours over four days, so you will be allocated a day off every week.
Salary and Benefits:
Qualfied nurses; full-time starting hourly rate for this position is £14.06 per hour, depending on experience & qualifications.
Trainee nurses; full-time starting hourly rate for this position is £12.50 per hour + we will cover the cost of your dental nurse training.
In addition to your salary we offer an annual bonus scheme + a flexible benefits package to our staff; which may include pension, optical care, dental care, paid sick leave and gym membership.
A six-month probationary contract will be issued to the successful applicant, followed by a permanent contract subject to appraisal.
Holiday entitlement is 4 weeks plus bank holidays and other days that the practice may be closed, increasing to 5 weeks, depending on length of service. We also offer an additional holiday day for your birthday!
We provide in-house professional development and will arrange & fund attendance of other courses. You will be encouraged and supported to further your education within dental nursing.
