Dear Patients,
From all of us at Osborne Orthodontics, we sincerely hope that you are all safe and well. As you may know, given the health risk posed by COVID-19, in March we have had to temporarily cease treatment for the protection of our patients and employees. This was based on guidance we received from the regulatory and advisory bodies that oversee the practice of dentistry in England including the Chief Dental Officer and Public Health England.
Since then, you may have seen in national or local media that the Chief Dental Officer for England announced that the dental profession would be allowed to see patients face to face from the 8th June 2020 where deemed safe to do so.
Whilst we welcome this announcement Osborne Orthodontics remains closed to patients until otherwise notified.
Please be assured that we sincerely appreciate the need for patients to receive treatment. We’re seeking to provide treatment as soon as possible and we are working with our suppliers of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the local area team for the NHS to implement this in as safe an environment as possible given the potential risks.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to estimate when it is that we will reopen. However, once a date has been determined, we will communicate this to patients via email, this page and on our website. The team will then follow this by reaching out to patients under treatment initially. There will be an inevitable backlog of patients waiting for treatment to start.
Until we reopen, please continue to reach out to the team should you have any questions with regards to your treatment or the above message. As always, please continue to follow NHS guidance to keep you and your family safe. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Kind regards
Erik Osborne
