Dear Patients .. following the announcement by the PM .. The lockdown as far as we know does not affect our opening and appointments... if anything does change we will let you know!

If it has been a while since you were seen and you’re in need of a review appointment please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you within the constraints and limits of what we are physically able to fit into the working day.

It’s difficult for everyone- Good news though we have returned to work !

We had followed advice from the test and trace system. A consultant in Public Health has reversed the original advice having adhered to test and trace advice initially. It has been clarified that as we were wearing the correct PPE / carrying out strict cross infection procedures that we do NOT need to isolate or attend for testing and can carry on as normal. As before appointments are not as readily available as before due to stringent protocols in place required in the management of a pandemic. Your patience is appreciated. We are, as everyone is, doing our best in difficult circumstances. Stay safe everyone 💖

As of today we have temporarily closed the clinic in response to being informed that a patient who recently attended the clinic has developed COVID 19 symptoms.

We are following NHS guidance and patients who may have been exposed will be informed by our local test and trace team.

Initially we're hoping this closure will last a maximum of 14 days or until the team have been tested and confirmed to be clear of COVID 19.

We will be reaching out to patients with appointments scheduled within the next 14 days to reschedule.

Please call us on 0191 272 8800 for advice about any dental issues. Our teams continue to be available to offer you support by phone or email.

We can be reached by email at [email protected]

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Kind regards

Dear Patients,

We sincerely hope that you’re coping under the circumstances and your families are staying safe. We've been working hard behind the scenes to improve the physical environment in which we see our patients and in order to enable us to manage our patient caseload during the pandemic and for possible future events.

Until these minor renovations are complete Osborne Orthodontics remains closed for face to face treatment but are hopeful we'll be reopening at the beginning of August. In the mean time we are available to answer patient queries. Please use the following contact details to reach us.

Please be assured that we sincerely appreciate the need for patients to receive treatment. We’re seeking to provide treatment as soon as possible. Once a date is confirmed, we'll communicate this to patients via email, social media and on our website.

The team will then follow this by reaching out to patients who are currently under treatment, in order or medical urgency. We will then begin to address the backlog of patients waiting for treatment to start.

Dear Patients,

From all of us at Osborne Orthodontics, we sincerely hope that you are all safe and well. As you may know, given the health risk posed by COVID-19, in March we have had to temporarily cease treatment for the protection of our patients and employees. This was based on guidance we received from the regulatory and advisory bodies that oversee the practice of dentistry in England including the Chief Dental Officer and Public Health England.

Since then, you may have seen in national or local media that the Chief Dental Officer for England announced that the dental profession would be allowed to see patients face to face from the 8th June 2020 where deemed safe to do so.

Whilst we welcome this announcement Osborne Orthodontics remains closed to patients until otherwise notified.

Please be assured that we sincerely appreciate the need for patients to receive treatment. We’re seeking to provide treatment as soon as possible and we are working with our suppliers of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the local area team for the NHS to implement this in as safe an environment as possible given the potential risks.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to estimate when it is that we will reopen. However, once a date has been determined, we will communicate this to patients via email, this page and on our website. The team will then follow this by reaching out to patients under treatment initially. There will be an inevitable backlog of patients waiting for treatment to start.

Until we reopen, please continue to reach out to the team should you have any questions with regards to your treatment or the above message. As always, please continue to follow NHS guidance to keep you and your family safe. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Kind regards

Erik Osborne
