🚨 🐎 🦷 I’ve been a bit quiet on here recently, the Summer seems to be going way too fast! It will soon be Christmas! I am working abroad for a large chunk of the next few weeks. I have been trying to catch up with messages if I have missed you or you need me I have a limited number of appointments left for August, September and October. 🚨 🐎 🦷

📢 Important message about equine dental care!

As horse owners, we all want the absolute best for our horses – and their dental health is one of the most important things we can get right.

⚠️ Why unqualified "natural balance" practitioners are NOT treating the whole mouth – and why this is dangerous!

There is a big difference between general tooth floating and proper, fully addressed equine dental care:
✅ Years of training, passed strict assessments, and are regulated by official bodies. They are trained to examine, diagnose and treat every part of the mouth: teeth, gums, soft tissue, jaw alignment, sinuses and more.
❌ Natural Balance practices often focus only on "balancing" visible tooth surfaces, but cannot recognise or address hidden problems: fractured teeth, infected roots, gum disease, ulcers, abnormal wear patterns, or jaw joint issues. Often not using correct equipment including speculum, head torch & power tools. They simply do not have the knowledge or training to assess the whole mouth – so serious conditions go undiagnosed and untreated, putting your horse at real risk of pain, illness, weight loss and long-term damage.

Using someone like this is not just ineffective – it is dangerous:
✅ Painful issues will get worse, not better
✅ Small problems can become life-threatening infections
✅ Incorrect work can damage healthy teeth permanently
✅ You have no protection or recourse if things go wrong!

💷 You really do get what you pay for
It can be tempting to choose the cheapest option – but a lower price usually means no proper training, no insurance, no professional registration, and no accountability.

The extra cost of an expert pays for their years of study, proper equipment, ethical standards, and the guarantee that your horse is receiving safe, complete care that protects their health long-term.

Don't gamble with your horse's wellbeing use professionals!

So proud to say I do Dexters teeth! He is an absolute gentleman.

Farrier Grace Binding rode her home-produced Irish Draught champion Castlemorris Diamond to the top prize – the ridden supreme – at Royal Norfolk Show.

“Dexter” was never bought to show, but the former hunter converted to showing after a freak accident. The pair had a dream-like run last term and are now in their second season of affiliated showing together.
