Born in to a "horsey' family Charlie's Father was a very successful Royal Military trained Farrier who spent the majority of his working career based in the heart of Horse Racing in Newmarket, Suffolk. Charlie grew up on the family yard run by her Mother surrounded by an array of different horses from liveries and breakers to horses in and out of training and horses in for specialist Farriery trea

tment.

Charlie's passion for our four legged friend started with humble beginnings taking part in all local Pony Club activities and was lucky enough to compete in many disciplines up to a national level. After leaving school Charlie completed her training with the British Racing School and was fortunate enough to work with some of the world best Racehorse Trainers in 3 different continents. Charlie also held a jockeys licence for a number of years and enjoyed a little success in between the flags.

With this wealth of experience behind her, Charlie has invested her time and resources training with some of the most internationally recognised Equine Dental professionals.

Charlie has her own horse Lucy, a retired racehorse who she competes with when time allows!

With the recent Equine Flu Virus spreading quickly across the country please be reassured I am using the only DEFRA approved disinfectant (also used by Badminton Horse Trials) to keep my equipment clean at all times. If you need help with choosing the right disinfectant please contact Gail Eggington (yes my bottle is battered! It gets used!)

“MY HORSE IS EATING FINE AND IS IN GREAT CONDITION HE DOESN’T NEED HIS TEETH DOING”

How many times do you hear this? As an equine dentist this comment makes my ears bleed!

Have you had a look? Did Bob open his gob and let you have a feel around?

Horses are prey animals they are very stoic and experts at hiding pain or sickness from their prey as a survival instinct. Significant pain does not always kill a horse’s appetite.

Sorry but I am going to say it is your responsibility as a horse owner to ensure your horse has regular dental treatments! (Minimum once per year) By the time your horse displays difficulties eating it may be too late for us to fully rectify the issue.

Can’t help myself - FOOD FOR THOUGHT 🤣
