😃 SMILE MONTH 😃
Did you know your toothbrush can’t clean everywhere?
Cleaning between your teeth every day helps remove plaque and food debris from areas your toothbrush can’t reach — including between teeth and just under the gumline.
✨ Daily interdental cleaning helps to:
• Prevent tooth decay
• Protect against gum disease and bleeding
• Reduce bad breath
🦷 There are two main ways to clean between your teeth:
• Interdental brushes
• Dental floss
Your dental team can help you choose what works best for you — many people use a combination of both.
💙 Interdental brushes
These small brushes fit between teeth and are often easier to use, especially where spaces are larger.
✔ Use once daily
✔ Never force the brush
✔ If it bends or splays, try a smaller size
✔ Rinse during use and replace when worn
💙 Dental floss
Floss is ideal for tight spaces where brushes won’t fit.
✔ Use gently — don’t snap into the gums
✔ Curve the floss around each tooth in a C-shape
✔ Clean both sides of every gap
✔ Don’t forget the back of your last tooth
If you’re unsure which option is best for you, speak to your dentist or hygienist — we’re always happy to help 😊
