Bleeding gums when brushing? 🦷

It might be common, but it isn’t something to ignore.

Bleeding can often be an early sign of gum inflammation caused by plaque build-up around the gumline. The good news is that, when caught early, improving your oral hygiene and getting the right professional care can make a big difference.

Don’t stop brushing the area if you notice bleeding. Continue to brush gently and thoroughly, and make sure you’re cleaning between your teeth too.

If your gums regularly bleed, feel swollen or tender, or the problem isn’t improving, it’s worth getting them checked by your dentist or hygienist.

Healthy gums shouldn’t routinely bleed. 🤍
