How many 3in1 tip changes a day? And below⬇️

This image shows the wear of the action of a dry syringe tip going in to the tip support holder.

This is why we recommend having a syringe tip to hand or if using disposable lightly lubricating it to transfer silicon grease (ideally food safe) to the orings in the head of the syringe.
This could be done twice a day before each session.

Reference manufacturers metal tips v plastic disposables. If you have a S or B Type autoclave we’d highly recommend using metal.
Kinder on the environment and more cost effective based on a metal tip life of 5-10+ years

Plastic disposable tips also generally have sharp edges on the central water tube that accelerates the wear of the central oring isolating the water from the air. This is noticeable when you use water then want dry air and get water as it is drawn out of the tip before just dry air, this can take 19-30sec per dry air blow required!! And you do that 50-100 times a day soon adds up.

Also annual servicing complements 3in1 performance

Answer: (5days 46weeks)
20/day = 4600
30/day = 6900
40/day = 9200

Replaced an ailing 2/3 surgerycompressor yesterday (18/10/24).

Having recently been to in the practice to do some work and discussing with the owner his future plans to open a third surgery the discussion soon turned to replacing the existing compressor.

This was a unit I’d serviced and highlighted the marked FAD quoted at 5 Bar not meeting the calculated flow at 6-8 bar the compressor operates at and delivers at.
This was just producing enough 1.5 surgeries with out loses.
The old unit had been unintentionally neglected as a result of covid so had missed a couple of years serving and now need a very deep thorough costly services. But once done woul not quite meet the demands going forward so the costs were invested in a new more suitable compressor from Cattani Esam uk.

I’d identified the AC300 and from calculated FAD’s at 6-8 Bar was confident the compressor is very capable of providing a good 170l/m.
With the reliability of these compressors I am confident the c compressor will see out the owner!

New breathing air filters and post regulator/filter fitted for addition air filtration to help reach HTM standards is our standard installation offer.

A recoil hose off a quick disconnect fitting from the compressor outlet allows for easy maintenance as and when needed.

The PRV was swapped out for a new one to meet the PSSR2000 SI 128 regulation 7 requirement Safe Operating Limit critia. The need for this is only a fraction of a Bar but legally may be the difference if something were to go wrong and needed defending in a court of law.

Then a new WSE (Reg 😎 and a new inspection of the new system to (Reg 9) as per the WSE.

Not the best compressor cabinet to work in but sometimes we do what we do with the room we have.
Some recommendation offered for the cabinet: frost protection; fettling the door so it fully opens; a more secure lock and bar across the door!!

Our flagship Eurus S6 brings the ultimate folding leg-rest treatment centre to dental surgeries.

With the doctor’s table and instruments positioned behind the chair, patient anxiety is eased as they enter the room from the front which allows the doctor or nurse discreet and clean preparation zones.

Interesting article: is your equipment up to date on service?

Conservative MP Sir Paul Beresford (Mole Valley) closed his dental practice to carry out ‘urgent safety improvements’ following a CQC inspection last November that revealed a catalogue of failings and shortcomings Private Eye magazine reports.

Well the last 13 months have been interesting and personally very hard and emotional.
QA lost engineers on a regular 1/4ly basis and although we took on Chris, an ex Eschmann Engineer, I wasn’t able to recruit as others were tempted away to the bigger corporate business in dentistry.
My last fully experience engineer moves on to new challengers in early April and without new blood I am unable to continue.
By now all clients, the life blood of our business and those we serve, should have had an email explaining the situation as should our suppliers.
I’d like to personal thank the hundreds of practices who have entrusted our team to look after your equipment over the years and apologies on the apparent speed we are closing.
This is because I have tried to sell the goodwill on but to no avail with last minutes negotiation not coming to anything.
So, unfortunately as of April the 2nd QA will cease trading.
We are not going bust and I will look after any warrantee issues we are liable for as I feel this is my duty to do.
I am very sorry this will leave you short on your engineering support but as no one has stepped up to buy my good will I am unable to recommend anyone.

I thank you for your support over the years and wish you well at your practices.
I am taking a few months off and hopefully will look to see if my knowledge in the pressure system and maintenance is valued.
I am working on a PSI (WSE) system for engineers and Dental practices which I hope will be welcomed.
