🦷✨ Brushing for Brighter Smiles! ✨🦷
Helping your little one build good brushing habits from an early age can make a big difference to their oral health. 💙
🪥 1. Use fluoride toothpaste
For children, use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste and encourage them to spit it out after brushing.
⏰ 2. Brush twice a day
Brush every morning and last thing before bed for 2 minutes. The bedtime brush is particularly important!
😁 3. Brush every surface
Make sure you clean the front, back and chewing surfaces of all their teeth. Don’t forget those tricky back teeth!
💧 4. Spit, don’t rinse!
After brushing, encourage your child to spit out the toothpaste rather than rinsing with water. This helps leave fluoride on the teeth for longer.
🎵 5. Make brushing fun!
Let them choose their toothbrush, use a fun timer or brush along to their favourite song. Making it enjoyable can help turn brushing into a routine they look forward to.
🍬 A few extra smile tips:
• Keep sugary snacks and drinks to a minimum.
• Encourage water between meals.
• Look after baby teeth — they’re important too!
• Keep up with regular dental visits. 🦷
