Most people brush their teeth twice a day and assume they're doing everything right.
But over the years, I've realised that many patients have never actually been shown the correct order, timing and technique when it comes to looking after their teeth.
Small habits can make a huge difference.
For example, rinsing immediately after brushing can wash away the fluoride that's there to protect your teeth.
Brushing straight after acidic foods or drinks can also increase the risk of enamel wear.
The good news is that a few simple changes can make your daily routine far more effective and help keep your teeth and gums healthier for longer.
