What is a Dental Emergency?

Trauma, IE from a fall or accident, which has resulted in loss or loosening of a tooth. Pain, causing swelling, discomfort to the affected area and keeping you awake at night. Pain which cannot be controlled with over the counter pain medication.

We are still available between Christmas & New Year for routine patients of the practice who should require speaking to a member of our team during our “Emergency Service” days.

Please contact the usual practice contact number on 01229-772319 to be directed to a member of our team.

If you should require this service during the festive period, please contact at 9.00am so we can arrange the clinic and allocate you an appointment.

PLEASE NOTE if the swelling is severe and begins to travel into your neck region, restricting your breathing, or you are experiencing excessive bleeding, then PLEASE go to A&E.

What is a New Patient Consultation?

At your new patient consultation you will have 45 minutes of chair side time with one of our wonderful dentists who will undertake a comprehensive assessment of all teeth/restorations present, jaw, joints, facial muscles, salivary glands and facial lymph nodes, a soft tissue examination & oral cancer screening. The consultation will also include clinical photography of your smile, aswell as any radiographs needed (X-rays).

At the end of the consultation, the dentist will go through an explanation of findings with you, impartial professional advice & discuss your treatment options. The dentist will prepare the written treatment plan, including background information to help you make your decision on your advised treatment. You will be given the opportunity to discuss any of your current dental concerns & worries. You will be given an itemised run down of advised treatments & their costings which you can book at your own convenience.
