A classic combination for a beautifully balanced smile 🙌

Case by , starting with Invisalign to do the majority of the heavy lifting by correcting the more severe crowding and creating a much more harmonious foundation.

We then followed with whitening to brighten the smile, before finishing with composite bonding on the upper 5 teeth to refine the shapes, proportions and overall balance 🧘‍♂️

What can we actually tell about someone’s dental health just by looking at their smile? 👀🦷

Bespoke Smile was recently featured in Yahoo! and HELLO! Magazine, with .samjethwa sharing his expert dental opinion for the article, “What Happened to Johnny Depp’s Teeth?”

This isn’t about judging someone’s smile or suggesting that every smile needs to look a certain way. In fact, quite the opposite.

Looking at celebrity smiles can be an interesting way to discuss dental health, tooth wear, colour, alignment and the natural changes that can happen to our teeth over time, as well as the difference between what we can observe visually and what would require a proper clinical examination to diagnose.

Before coming to our, our patient's The teeth were heavily filled with composite, and had some unevenness in shape and colour. We loved working on this one and helping this patient, made in our exclusive ceramics lab as a copy of the (handmade trial smile)

As .samjethwa explains, when a tooth has been missing for some time, the surrounding teeth can naturally drift into the space. This can change the symmetry, proportions and overall appearance of your smile.

And that’s where facially driven treatment planning becomes so important.

A life-changing smile transformation that reminds why she loves what she does 💛

This patient came to see feeling extremely unhappy with her smile after years of wear and damage. Her teeth were heavily worn, misaligned and discoloured, with gaps, missing teeth and a crossbite. The wear had become so advanced that very little tooth showed when she smiled or spoke.

Her treatment included:
• Invisalign to align the teeth and correct the bite
• Laser gum contouring to improve the gum levels
• 8 upper Feather Veneers®
• Composite bonding to the lower 6 teeth

The final appointment was an emotional one. Seeing her new smile for the first time brought plenty of happy tears, from both patient and dentist 🥹

Why does minimal preparation matter? It’s not just about preserving your natural tooth 🦷

explains another important reason we prioritise minimal preparation when placing porcelain veneers: the bond.

Enamel provides an excellent surface for veneers to bond to. When a tooth is heavily prepared and much of that enamel is removed, the veneer may need to bond predominantly to the dentine underneath, which can make achieving a predictable, long-lasting bond more challenging.

So preserving enamel wherever clinically possible isn’t only about keeping more of your natural tooth. It can also contribute to the longevity and predictability of your veneers.

35 years later, a completely new approach to her smile. ✨

This transformation by .samjethwa involved replacing 35-year-old veneers and non-surgical gummy smile correction in collaboration with .sheila, creating better balance between the teeth, gums and face.

Using , the new smile was designed from a facially driven perspective, considering her features, proportions, lips and how the smile sits within the face.

That design was then brought to life directly on her teeth with a handcrafted Trial Smile using our technique, allowing the shape, length and proportions to be refined before the final ceramics were created.

The finished design was then replicated in hand-produced ceramics by the laboratory.

A transformation focused not simply on replacing veneers, but redesigning the smile around the person wearing it. 🤍
