This smile transformation by started with orthodontic alignment to create the ideal foundation before using composite bonding to refine the details.

“If the tooth is covered by a veneer… how do you keep it clean underneath?” 👀

One of the most common questions we get asked by patients considering veneers.

The reality is, a healthy smile always starts with healthy foundations. Before any veneer treatment begins, we ensure the teeth and gums are thoroughly cleaned, healthy, and stable before placing any porcelain.

Once fitted, the veneers are carefully bonded and sealed to the tooth surface, meaning nothing should be getting underneath them.

From there, caring for veneers is very similar to caring for natural teeth:

• Brush thoroughly twice a day
• Clean around the gums
• Floss between the teeth
• Keep up with regular hygiene appointments
• Maintain a balanced diet and avoid excessive sugar intake

Porcelain veneers do not mean “high maintenance” dentistry. When planned and maintained properly, they are designed to work in harmony with your long-term oral health.

What is a natural smile?

This bespoke case by .samjethwa involved 8 upper Feather VeneersⓇ designed to disguise the canines as incisors, balance the proportions, and work with natural asymmetries rather than against them. The goal wasn’t perfection, it was creating a smile that truly belongs to the patient while preserving character and making a significant improvement.

Before treatment, we aligned the upper teeth to place them in the ideal position for the veneers, allowing for a more refined and natural result.

For this patient, the transformation went beyond the smile itself. Working in a public-facing role, gaining confidence when smiling was one of the biggest motivations behind treatment.
