Anything hard, sticking or crunchy can damage your brace.
When your brace is broken, it stops doing what it should! This prolongs your treatment which can be detrimental to your teeth. Because of this, the Orthodontist may consider the need to remove your braces.
Also, you should limit the amount of sugary foods and drinks, as too much can damage the enamel on your teeth - when your braces come off you may have marks of decalcification on the front of your teeth.
