Well this wasn't something we planned on coming into on a Monday morning.
We have no idea how we have ripped anyone off, we are an NHS Dentist trying our best for the local community. If someone feels like we have ripped them off surely it would be better to approach us direct rather than making yourself seem like a thug, using graffiti to let us know you are not happy?? All this has done is take someone away from the job they should have been doing this morning. Police have been informed and CCTV has been recovered.

Yesterday 23/09/2024 our amazing team stayed late, beyond NHS contracted hours to see as many children as we could for their NHS check ups.
This was due to the volume of calls we had throughout the school holidays for appointments before school started again.
We managed to book in a massive 127 patients across 6 Dentists and were pleased to see 111 of those children attend. We are however sad that 16 patients weren't brought to their appointments.
It is sad any time that patients miss their appointmnents but even more so when our staff are working beyond their normal hours, missing time with their own families to accomodate these appointments.
To then have people not attend is beyond sad.
We understand that things crop up and people get poorly but a phone call to cancel in good time would mean we can offer the appointment(s) to other children.
We currently have 100s of people waiting for an NHS place.
We do have the right under NHS rules to remove patients that fail to attend multiple appointments.

We have decided to do another childrens clinic on Monday 26th Feb 2024.
Please note this is for registered children only under 10 years old. We cannot see older children or parents on this night.

Are your children registered with us?
If your child is under 10 we have opened up some slots for them to come and have their check up without having to come out of school. We have some availability with certain dentists on Monday 5th Feb 2024.
Please note this is for registered patients under 10 years old only.
We will not be able to see any child over 10 or parents at these appointments. To book please call us on 01616432428.

Just to let our patients know, we are having some issues with our phones with the welcome message. we will be open on 28th & 29th December for emergencies only from around 10am until 1pm. Please try to avoid ringing if you don't have an emergency as our phone lines get extremely busy.

This week (from Monday until Lunch time today) we have already had 7hours and 40 mins of appointments not attended.....
We have so many patients contacting us on a daily basis that cannot get an NHS Dentist and these appointments could have been given to those patients.
If you cannot make it to an appointment we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice (we completely understand with sudden illnesses this is not always possible and take each case individually) however
by cancelling the appointment this enables us to offer the time to someone else.
The failed appointments mean that in time its like having 1 Dentist doing nothing for a whole day and that is only so far this week.
During this time we could have seen 37 new patients, 20 existing patients for treatment or pain or a massive 74 existing patients for their regular check up.
We are extremely strict on Patients that fail to attend appointments and this is why, this is a complete waste of time and resources as well as being sad for those patients that would attend their appointments.
