💐 A Lovely Friday Surprise! 🌼

Ms Aston received a beautiful surprise at the reception desk today! 💛

These gorgeous flowers were delivered with a lovely message from two of our patients, but unfortunately, Ms Aston isn’t sure who they were from.

She would love to say a personal thank you to whoever sent them. 🥰 They have really brightened up her Friday, and she is so grateful for such a thoughtful gesture.

💐 If these were from you, please let us know so we can pass on her thanks!

Thank you for making someone’s Friday extra special. 💛🌻

🦷 MEET THE TEAM – BEHIND THE SCENES 🦷

This week we’re introducing Freya, one of our lovely Dental Nurses! 💜

Freya joined our team in June 2023, after training at Manchester Dental Hospital, and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2024. 🦷🎓

Since joining us, Freya has become a valued member of the team. She is honest, hardworking and always gets on with the job without a moan! 💪🏼💜

Although there is one thing Freya definitely does love… lunchtime! 😂🍴

And one thing she definitely DOESN’T love?
👉 Setting up for a root canal! 😂🦷

But we’re especially proud of Freya this week because she has just passed her Dental Radiography exam! 🎉📸

This means Freya is now qualified to take X-rays for our patients a fantastic achievement and another qualification added to her growing skills.

👏🏼 Well done, Freya! We’re very proud of you! 💜

We’re so lucky to have you as part of our team even if you’re always counting down to lunchtime! 😂

MEET THE TEAM – BEHIND THE SCENES

This week, we’re introducing Katie, one of our dentists — and someone who knew from a very young age exactly what she wanted to do! 💜

Katie decided she wanted to become a dentist when she was just 12 years old, after attending a careers evening at school. From then on, she focused on choosing the right subjects to help her get to university and pursue her dream.

🎓 Katie’s career journey:

🧬 1990 – 1993 Completed an Applied Biology degree
🦷 After university, Katie still had her heart set on dentistry, so she spent a year working as a dental nurse
🎓 She then went on to study Dentistry for five years at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London
🏆 1999 – Qualified as a dentist with a Distinction
🦷 2000 – Began working with us in Surgery 3, where she has now been caring for patients for an incredible 26 years!

Katie has built a wonderful rapport with her patients over the years and really enjoys getting to know them. She also loves having a bit of fun with the team behind the scenes. ❤️

And what would a Meet the Team post be without revealing a few things her colleagues have to say about her?! 😂

Apparently Katie is famous for her awful jokes 🤦‍♀️😂 and has been known to insist on singing to her patients! 🎶🦷

When Katie isn’t at the practice, she enjoys cooking, going for a run and spending time with her two grown-up sons, who she is enormously proud of. ❤️

After more than 26 years, Katie is such an important part of our practice family, and we’re so lucky to have her!

Thank you, Katie, for all the years of care, laughter, terrible jokes and probably a fair amount of singing! 😂💜🦷

MEET THE TEAM – BEHIND THE SCENES

This week, we’re starting our Meet the Team series by introducing the person who keeps so much of what happens behind the scenes running smoothly… our Practice Manager, Nyckie! 💜

Nyckie first joined the practice in 2004 at just 20 years old, starting her career as a trainee dental nurse. She qualified just one year later and has continued to develop her skills and qualifications throughout her career.

✨ Nyckie’s career journey:
🦷 2004 – Joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse
🎓 2005 – Qualified as a dental nurse
💤 2008 – Gained her sedation qualification
🪥 2010 – Qualified in fluoride application for children
👩‍⚕️ 2012 – Became Head Dental Nurse
📸 2015 – Qualified in dental radiography
📋 2017 – Became Practice Manager
🎓 Went on to achieve an advanced qualification in Practice Management

Fast forward 22 years, and Nyckie is still very much at the heart of our practices. 💜

As Practice Manager, Nyckie looks after an incredible amount behind the scenes from managing our finances and wages, organising staff holidays and supporting the whole team, to dealing with patient complaints and everything in between!

But one of the things that makes Nyckie so special is the care she has for the people around her. She is approachable, caring and always there for her team whenever they need her. ❤️

And when she’s not keeping the practices running, Nyckie is a busy mum of two.

After 22 years, Nyckie has certainly become a huge part of the practice family and we’re so lucky to have her! 🥰

Thank you, Nyckie, for everything you do behind the scenes! 💜🦷

Keep an eye out for our next Meet the Team Behind the Scenes post, where we’ll be introducing another member of our amazing team!

🎄✨ WHITEN YOUR TEETH BEFORE THE FESTIVE SEASON! ✨🎄

Thinking about a smile makeover? We always recommend starting with professional teeth whitening a fantastic way to enhance your smile without drilling or altering your natural teeth. 🦷✨

Many patients find that after whitening they feel more confident, smile more often and feel happier showing off their teeth. 😁

💜 How does it work?
We’ll scan your teeth to create a precise 3D image, which is used to make your bespoke whitening trays.

You’ll then use the whitening gel in your trays, usually wearing them overnight while you sleep. 🌙

⏰ Treatment usually takes around 2 weeks, depending on how white you would like your teeth to become.

✨ Whitening packages from £350

And once you’ve completed your whitening package, you can purchase top-up whitening gel from us whenever you need it to help maintain your brighter smile.

🎄 Get your smile ready for the festive season!

📩 Have questions? Send us a message or speak to a member of our team.
