🏉From rugby trauma to a brighter smile!

This patient had trauma to his front tooth playing rugby a few years ago. Following the injury, the tooth required root canal treatment, but over time it gradually became darker and more discoloured compared with the surrounding teeth.

To improve the colour, we carried out internal whitening of the affected tooth.

What is internal whitening?
Unlike conventional teeth whitening, which whitens teeth from the outside, internal whitening is specifically used for a tooth that has become discoloured from within, often following trauma or root canal treatment. A whitening agent is carefully placed inside the tooth, allowing the discolouration to be lightened from the inside out.

The result is a much more even, natural-looking smile, with the previously discoloured tooth brought back into harmony with the surrounding teeth.
