We hope this finds you all well and safe.
As you are all aware the Scottish First Minister announced that dental practices could now re-open in a phased approach.
Like everything at this time this does not mean we will be open as before. Initially we are limited to seeing patients for genuine emergency problems and only treatments which do not produce an aerosol, so no drilling. The increased precautions which have been put in place also limit us on the number of patients we can see in a day.
Macduff Dental will be opening on Thursday 25th June for emergency dental care only, there will be no routine appointments for now.
Should you have a non-urgent dental problem, email [email protected], with the details and we will log your need. We will contact you as soon as we can, but you can appreciate we need to deal with the emergency cases first.
If you have had to contact our emergency dentist in the past weeks your details will have been logged and we will be getting in touch to assess your present requirements as soon as we can.
Should you have an emergency from now on please continue to contact the practice as before for advice on how we can help you. (Answering machine until 25th June with instructions)
Patients will continue to be referred to the Urgent Dental Care Centres if we are unable to provide the treatment in house.
When you do visit Macduff Dental you will be very much aware of lots of changes.
• Please only attend Macduff Dental if you have been asked to do so, the front door will be locked at all times.
• You will be asked to answer a COVID Screening Questionnaire prior to your appointment.
• If you are on our email contact list you will already know we are trying to make things as contactless as possible. Medical histories will be sent to you to update and complete at home as far as possible.
• All the staff will be wearing PPE
We appreciate your patience throughout this pandemic and as the lockdown is eased further, we will be in contact to deal with the non-urgent dental problems, the appointments we had to cancel and your routine appointments.
