This one was a proper team effort 👌

We started with straightening using Invisalign with Hamna to get everything into the ideal position. Once the teeth were aligned, we refined the smile with whitening and a touch of composite bonding to improve shape and balance.

The final piece was replacing a failing resin bonded bridge on the upper right 2 that kept coming loose. We placed a single dental implant and restored it with a fixed crown – no more movement, no more worry about it coming off.

The difference isn’t just cosmetic… it’s confidence, function, and long-term stability.

Your toothbrush can’t reach everything.

The surfaces between your teeth – where teeth sit next to each other – can only be cleaned with floss or interdental brushes. Your regular brush physically cannot get in there.

That’s roughly 40% of each tooth’s surface. Left uncleaned every day, that’s where gum disease and cavities often start.

Interdental brushes are usually easier to use than floss – a small brush that slides between the teeth. Your hygienist can recommend the right size for you at your next appointment.

If sorting out your smile has been on the to do list before those holiday snaps, summer weddings or trips out in the sunshine, then don't worry we've got you covered!

Depending on what you’re looking to do, here’s a rough guide to timescales:
• Hygiene refresh – one appointment
• Professional whitening – typically 2 to 4 weeks

Here’s something that surprises a lot of people – and it’s backed by the Oral Health Foundation.

Sugar causes tooth decay by feeding the bacteria in your mouth, which produce acid. That acid attacks your enamel for around 20 minutes after every exposure. So three sugary moments in a day means at least an hour of acid attack on your teeth.

Nibbling on biscuits all afternoon? That’s close to continuous acid exposure.

The point isn’t to cut out sugar entirely. It’s to reduce how often you have it – and to have it with meals rather than between them, so your teeth get recovery time in between.
