JAW PAIN? CLICKING? HEADACHES? IT COULD BE YOUR TMJ.
TMJ (jaw joint) disorders can cause pain, clicking, restricted movement or headaches, and are often misunderstood or misdiagnosed. With Mr Kohmal Solanki’s NHS leadership in TMJ surgery now part of this practice, patients have access to a full, stepwise pathway:

1. Conservative care first: splints, physiotherapy and targeted injections. Most people improve at this stage.

2. Keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery, usually the next step if symptoms persist.

3. Open surgery or total joint replacement, reserved for more complex or severe cases.
