Camilla’s magnificent braces journey ⚡️
was looking for the perfect smile and wanted to love her teeth. So here’s what happened.

I love Jamie’s stunning smile makeover created with lingual braces!

His main concerns on examination were crowding, underbite, tooth wear, narrow uneven smile next to a pushed forward jaw.

After being previously told only orthognathic surgery would correct his skeletal malocclusion, which put him off, we’ve discussed all alternative orthodontic treatment options.

Jamie decided against any surgical intervention and opted for a camouflage approach with orthodontic treatment.

His teeth and jaw now complement his natural beautiful face.

Jamie even had to change his passport photo. The orthodontic treatment changed the structure and mapping of his face, which altered the biometric data and eGates didn’t work anymore for our frequent traveller.

Alice had severe crowding, narrow arches, traumatic deep bite and difficulties cleaning her crooked teeth.

How to take better care of your teeth during lockdown? Although we are still welcoming our orthodontic patients during the lockdown, the restrictions in place mean that many of you are having to wait a little bit longer to come and see us.
While you are waiting until your next appointment, here are just some of the ways you can look after your teeth during lockdown:
•
1. Depending on your brace brush at least twice daily with a soft manual or electric toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, followed by a mild fluoride mouthwash.
2. If you are wearing fixed lingual or labial braces, then use interdental brushes under the wires and floss with super floss or a water flosser, if you find traditional flossing a little tiresome occasionally.
3. Replace your toothbrush or brush head every three months.
4. Reduce the frequency and amount of sugary foods and fizzy drinks you are consuming whilst you are staying at home.
5. For our adult patients now is the perfect to quit smoking. Next to all of the known health implications, smoking puts you at a higher risk of periodontal gum disease and mouth cancer.
6. To remove stains and tartar (hardened plaque) professionally including a deep dental clean, schedule an appointment with our hygienists. Next to a sparkling smile, you will also receive individual tips and tricks how to look efficiently after your teeth.
