That satisfying crunch at the bottom of your drink? Your teeth are not a fan 🧊

Here’s what chewing ice actually does:
Enamel damage: Ice is hard enough to cause micro-cracks in your enamel. You might not notice them immediately, but they build up over time and weaken your teeth.

Cracked or chipped teeth: The force needed to crush ice puts serious pressure on your teeth. One wrong crunch and you could chip or crack a tooth, which is a dental emergency.

Sensitivity: Repeatedly exposing your teeth to extreme cold triggers sensitivity that gets worse over time.

Damaged restorations: Fillings, crowns, and bonding are not designed to withstand ice-chewing. It shortens their lifespan significantly.

The occasional ice cube is unlikely to cause immediate damage. Making it a habit is a different story.
