Christmas time is always a period of reflection. No year is without its challenges but, as we look back on the past year, the team at 3 one one dental care, North Finchley are proud once again that so many people have put their trust in us to look after their dental needs. We do not take that for granted and are grateful for all the support we have.
We send a big thanks for all the wishes and gifts sent to us in the run up to the festive period. We hope that we can continue to repay the kindness shown to us. There is no greater show of kindness than the work carried out by the North London Hospice who we are proud to have supported once again during 2024.
3 one one dental care will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but will be open as usual on all other days. For dental emergencies for registered patients please call the Practice on 0208 445 2722 and it will tell you how to access our out-of-hours emergency advice line. It is always good to celebrate, and the team at 3 one one dental care, North Finchley try not to miss an opportunity.
We recently celebrated 10 years since our respected Principal, Priyesh Shah, joined the practice. Taking over from the retiring partner, Malcolm Alexander, Priyesh had big shoes to fill, and he has done that with a high degree of professionalism and brought his own top-level skills to the team. Priyesh is one of the very few registered dental specialists in North London.
Dr Shah’s specialty is Restorative Dental Practice. His commitment to excellence in ongoing dental education has given him the know-how in handling more complex cases of the very broken-down teeth and replacement of missing teeth including the skilled use of dental implants. He cares for many nervous patients some of whom are embarrassed by the state their mouth has gotten into. His gentle manner has helped restore confidence in so many patients and to rehabilitate their smile. He sees people’s self-esteem return along with their fabulous smiles.

A second opportunity to celebrate being a fabulous team came on a recent evening out to our favorite Indian Vegetarian restaurant, Rasa, in Stoke Newington (pictured). A great time was had by all with plenty of leftovers to take home to our families!

** SCANNING HAS ARRIVED IN FINCHLEY**
Dentists recognize that the tools of the trade are only one component of what it takes to deliver quality care to their patients. Over the years there have been great advances with those instruments of care and indeed the materials used to help restore teeth.
The team at 3 one one dental care believe that the introduction of their digital 3-D scanner is another huge leap forward in the delivery of quality care. The 3-shape Trios digital scanner allows quick easy and accurate 3-D digital images to be made of a patients teeth. The scan can replace the need for taking traditional putty impressions when performing complex dentistry or replacing missing teeth. For patients who have a sensitive gag reflex this will be very welcome.
With time the technology will be used to assess the quality of tooth preparation in real time allowing for even more accurate dental work. Information about the colour of teeth, and the bite can be sent to the dental laboratory at the click of a button. What is more, information about a patient can be digitally stored and used as a valuable monitoring tool over the years, to accurately check on the rate of progression of dental problems such as tooth wear.
