aring loss. The important thing is how we choose to deal with it. At Cubex ,we are committed to helping individuals make positive lifestyle changes to overcome tinnitus, improve hearing and communication ability, restore balance and prevent hearing loss. Living Out Loud: Mr Christopher Chandler.

In this conversation, Mr Christopher Chandler reflects on what made his experience at The Well Being BY CUBEX so valuable.

Rather than focusing solely on his hearing, Adam Shulberg and the team took the time to understand how hearing loss was affecting his work, his relationships and every aspect of his life.

Because hearing doesn't exist in isolation.

It profoundly influences how we communicate, how we participate and how confidently we move through the world.

As Christopher puts it:
"For me, Cubex was a godsend. You focused on me - the whole person - rather than just my hearing loss."

Thank you, Christopher, we’re grateful for your kindness - and for articulating your experience with such honesty and feeling.

Living Out Loud is our ongoing conversation series, featuring patients and guests sharing their personal experiences of hearing - and being heard.

Hearing well isn’t only about hearing speech clearly. Your brain also relies on meaningful contextual sounds to understand what’s happening around you, from another voice entering the conversation to footsteps approaching or sounds like music, as part of the ambient mix.

Oticon Reveal™ is the world’s first hearing aid powered by Dual AI. Speech AI helps identify and enhance speech, while Context AI preserves the important surrounding sounds your brain needs to make sense of the wider listening environment.

The result is a more natural balance between the conversation you want to follow and the world you need to remain connected to.

For a limited peried, we're offering a complimentary Reveal™ Suitability Assessment with the CUBEX team.

Curious whether Reveal™ could make a difference to the way you hear?

Comment REVEAL below and we’ll send you our introduction to the science behind Dual AI, together with details of our complimentary Reveal Suitability Assessment.

Many people think hearing loss is about volume. It isn't.

‘Turning up the volume’ doesn’t make everything clearer or easier.

As hearing changes, conversations become less distinct. The brain has to work harder to understand speech, making communication feel increasingly effortful.

That's why good hearing care isn't simply about making sounds louder.
It's about restoring clarity, reducing listening effort, assisting your cognitive processing and helping communication to feel natural once again.

Jerusha Shulberg, Senior Audiologist and Director of Wellbeing at The Well Being BY CUBEX, explains why hearing care should always focus on the person - going well beyond the hearing test.

Because hearing better isn't just about hearing more.

It's about living with grace and ease, communicating effortlessly, more confidently. Staying connected to the people around you, and those who matter most.

Living Out Loud: Garfield Davies

Having lived with hearing loss for decades, retired Consultant ENT Surgeon and long-standing patient, Mr Garfield Davies, has experienced first-hand how hearing technology has evolved over the years.

In this conversation with Adam Shulberg, he reflects on one of the most significant advances he's noticed: hearing in noise.

Hearing someone speaking in a quiet room is one thing. Following a conversation in a busy restaurant, at a family gathering or in a crowded space is something else entirely.

For Garfield, the improvements in speech understanding in noisy environments have been remarkable.

He also reflects on the importance of being guided through those technological advances by a team that understands not only how hearing technology has changed, but how his own hearing needs have evolved over time.

As Garfield reminds us, hearing care isn't just about keeping up with technology. It's about finding the right technology - and the right support - for you.

Thank you, Garfield, for sharing your experience and insights.

Living Out Loud: Dr Len

Should hearing assessments become as routine as checking your blood pressure or having an eye examination?

In this Living Out Loud conversation, Dr Len - a practicing GP - reflects on why he believes hearing should receive far greater attention as part of preventative healthcare.

Untreated hearing loss affects far more than hearing alone. It increases listening effort, places untold demands on the brain and can influence the way we communicate, connect and participate in everyday life.

The earlier a hearing loss is identified, the sooner people can access the support they need - often before it has a significant impact on quality of life and cognitive health.

It's an important conversation about hearing, ageing and the value of early intervention.

Thank you, Dr Len, for sharing your perspective.

Adam Shulberg, Founder and Senior Audiologist at The Well Being BY CUBEX, explains why feeling drained after conversations might not simply be “tiredness”.

Most people think hearing difficulties are about volume.

In reality, it's far more complex than that.

As hearing changes, you naturally begin to compensate. You concentrate harder, piece conversations together, guess at missed words and work harder simply to keep up.

That extra effort builds.

When the brain receives less sound information, it has to work much harder to understand speech. Over time, that increased listening effort can leave you feeling mentally tired, particularly after meetings, social occasions or time spent in busy environments.

This is just one of the many topics explored in The Well Hearing Guide.
Created by The Well Being BY CUBEX, the guide explains why hearing is about much more than your ears. It explores communication, listening effort, cognition and everyday wellbeing, helping you understand your hearing before making decisions about treatment or technology.

Many people think meditation begins with a quiet mind.

In reality, it’s usually the opposite.

While meditating, your mind could wander from one thought to the next.

That isn't failure. In fact, for many techniques, it’s simply where the practice naturally begins. In meditation, the release of stress is experienced as thoughts in the mind.

It isn't about resisting these thoughts or analyzing them. It’s about creating a neutral relationship with them.

With time, something changes.

Not because life becomes less busy, but because you relate to it differently.

Many people experience a renewed sense of clarity, calm and energy.

Like any worthwhile practice, this is about consistency rather than
perfection.

We often recommend meditation to clients with hearing challenges. As the mind and body settle into deep rest, meditation helps people recover from listening fatigue, restore balance, improve attention and focus, and engage more fully with the world around them. .
