“Flossing is only necessary when something gets stuck between your teeth.”

That’s a myth. You may feel food debris, but you usually won’t feel dental plaque - and it builds up between your teeth every day.

A toothbrush alone cannot reach every interdental space. That’s why it’s important to use dental floss or appropriately sized interdental brushes every day. It’s a simple way to reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum inflammation.

“You can’t have dental treatment, X-rays, or anaesthesia during pregnancy.”

This myth causes many patients to postpone necessary treatment and spend months dealing with pain or a developing infection.

Pregnancy is not a contraindication to dental treatment. When clinically indicated, procedures such as treating tooth decay, root canal treatment, professional cleaning and even tooth extraction can be performed safely.

🦷 But what about X-rays and anaesthesia?
A dental X-ray can be taken when it is necessary to make an accurate diagnosis. Appropriate protocols are followed, and radiation exposure is kept to the minimum required. A dentist can also select a local anaesthetic suitable for a pregnant patient.

🦷 Before your appointment, remember to tell your dentist:
– that you are pregnant and which week of pregnancy you are in,
– which medications you are taking,
– about any medical conditions or pregnancy complications.

Elective procedures can be planned for the most appropriate time, but pain, infection and conditions requiring urgent treatment should not be postponed until after delivery. An untreated infection does not become safer simply because the patient is pregnant.

Pregnancy is a time to take special care of your health - including your oral health.

Wrinkle reduction - a fresher look, still completely you.

Fine lines are a natural part of ageing. If you would like your face to appear smoother and more refreshed, wrinkle-reduction treatment can temporarily soften expression lines while maintaining a natural-looking result.

Commonly treated areas include:
• vertical frown lines between the eyebrows,
• horizontal forehead lines,
• crow’s feet around the eyes.

Results typically last around three to four months, although this can vary from person to person. As the effects gradually wear off, the treatment may be repeated if appropriate.

Every face is unique. During your consultation, we will assess your facial expressions, discuss your expectations and create a personalised treatment plan focused on subtle, balanced results.

Book your consultation to discover whether wrinkle-reduction treatment is right for you.

📅 and, with more time available, orthodontic treatment.

It’s not about having a “perfect” smile. It’s about feeling healthy, comfortable, and confident on your special day.

Book a consultation - we’ll create a plan tailored to your needs and your wedding date.

If you’re wondering about the correct order, it’s best to floss first and brush your teeth afterwards.

Flossing removes food debris and plaque from areas your toothbrush cannot reach. Brushing afterwards helps clean the entire mouth thoroughly and allows the fluoride from your toothpaste to reach the spaces between your teeth.

But the most important rule is: flossing in any order is better than not flossing at all 😉 What really matters is being thorough and consistent — brushing twice a day and cleaning between your teeth once a day.

Can you catch tooth decay? 🦷

Not in the same way as the flu or a cold. Tooth decay itself cannot be passed from one person to another, but bacteria present in the mouth can be transmitted through saliva – for example, by licking a child’s pacifier, sharing cutlery or kissing.

However, contact with someone who has tooth decay does not automatically mean that you will develop a cavity. Certain conditions are needed: dental plaque, frequent exposure to sugar, time and insufficient protection of the teeth.

Bacteria can be passed on. But tooth decay still has to be “grown” 😉

That is why the most important things remain regular brushing with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, limiting frequent snacking and attending regular dental check-ups.

A brighter smile can make a big difference!

If you are unhappy with the colour of your teeth or have visible staining, professional teeth whitening may be a safe and effective option.

Before treatment, we assess the type of discolouration and prepare custom-made trays that fit your teeth precisely. A professional whitening gel is then applied using the trays to gradually brighten your smile.

The treatment can be carried out at home, often overnight, according to your dentist’s instructions. Results vary depending on the natural shade of your teeth and the type of staining - but the goal is always the same: a brighter, natural-looking smile.

When was your last professional dental cleaning?

Brushing alone is not enough to remove all plaque and tartar. That’s why it’s recommended to have a professional dental cleaning at least twice a year.

Regular appointments help keep your teeth and gums healthy, your breath fresh, and your smile looking its best. Patients with periodontal disease, dental implants, or orthodontic appliances may need professional cleanings more often.

Don’t wait until a problem arises — book your dental cleaning today!
