Think of snoring like a blocked drain.
When the airway becomes narrowed during sleep, air has to work harder to pass through, creating the sound we know as snoring.
The aim of treatment is to improve airflow by reducing the obstruction.
Depending on the cause, this may involve a mandibular advancement device, PAP therapy, or other treatment options.
Snoring isn’t always just a nuisance. For some people, it can be a sign of an underlying sleep breathing disorder worth investigating.
