What is the easiest and most predictable way to improve the bond strength of your adhesively bonded ceramic restoration? Immediate Dentin Sealing (IDS) is the solution.
There are several reasons why you should choose for immediate dentin sealing
1. Freshly cut dentin is the ideal substrate for dentin bonding
2. Precuring of the dentin bonding agent leads to improved bond strength
3. IDS allows stress-free dentin bond development
4. IDS protects dentin against bacterial leakage and sensitivity during provisionalization.
How do we do IDS after veneer preparation?
1. Air Abrasion with AquaCare
2. Etching for 5-15 seconds depending on the adhesive system
3. Abundant rinsing and removal of excess water with suction
4. Apply primer in brushing motion for at least 20 seconds
5. Suction to remove solvent
6. Apply bonding with precision, try to avoid excess around the margins
7. Light cure for 20 seconds
8. Apply a thick layer of glycerine and light cure again
9. Make sure your margins are clean and you can proceed with your impression.

Ps. Make sure to use glycerine or your provisional will be permanent😜
