Dyson has made a toothbrush… and yes, it’s £420. 👀

It brushes, flosses and rinses at the same time, uses a tiny camera to spot the areas you might be missing and even lets you see inside your mouth while you brush.

Very clever. Very Dyson.

But is it something our clinical team thinks you need? Probably not just yet.

There’s some exciting technology here, particularly if it encourages people to clean between their teeth more effectively, but right now there isn’t enough independent research to suggest it cleans better than a good electric toothbrush used properly.

Our verdict? A very clever nice-to-have, rather than a need-to-have.

Your gums shouldn’t bleed when you brush. And no, rinsing straight after isn’t helping either.

Some of the habits we’ve completely normalised can actually be telling us more about our oral health than we realise.

Bleeding gums are often a sign of inflammation — not a reason to avoid the area. And after brushing? Spit, don’t rinse. Give the fluoride in your toothpaste time to do its job.

Bonding isn’t designed to last forever. Over the years it can wear, chip and lose some of the shape and detail it once had — but that doesn’t always mean starting from scratch.

For this patient, we carefully removed the old bonding and rebuilt the smile layer by layer, restoring the shape, proportions and natural details of each tooth.
