I recently became a Key Opinion Leader for . And the first thing I thought was — what does that actually mean?

It didn't come from chasing the title. It came from years of doing the work. Printing in-house, refining workflows, failing at cases and figuring out why, then doing it better. Severe bone loss doesn't mean implants are off the table. It means we need a smarter plan.

For a long time, bone grafting was the default answer to significant bone loss — and in some cases it still is. But it's not the only path. Zygomatic implants, pterygoid implants, angled placement — these are techniques that work with the bone you have rather than trying to rebuild what's gone. They exist precisely for the patients who've been told there's nothing that can be done.
I've treated patients who came through my door convinced they weren't candidates for anything. They'd been refused elsewhere. What they actually needed wasn't more bone — they needed a clinician willing to look at their anatomy differently.

Teeth in a day is real — and it's one of the most powerful things modern implantology can offer. But what you leave with on day one is a provisional. A starting point. The final restoration comes after healing, after the bone has integrated, after we've had the chance to refine everything properly. That process takes months — and it should.
