But what exactly is a crown? 🦷

A dental crown is a custom-made restoration that covers and protects the existing tooth. Unlike composite bonding, which adds material directly onto the tooth, a crown encases the tooth and can be used when teeth are significantly worn, damaged, heavily restored or need additional strength and protection.

For more complex cases like this, treatment isn’t simply about creating a ‘perfect’ smile. It’s about carefully rebuilding the teeth, restoring function and creating a result that works harmoniously with the patient’s bite and facial features.
