SUGAR and your teeth 🦷

All of these ingredients have in common sugar - which is added to food to sweeten or can add tooth decay as well as wider health implications.

Sugar should not take up more than 5% of our daily intake. The average child eats more than twice the daily intake of sugar a everyday!

It can be hard to know which foods contain sugars - look out for these in the ingredients section and be aware of the contribution to your daily sugar allowance.

Adults and children of 11+ should have a maximum of 30g a day. Children aged 7-10 should have a maximum of 24g and aged 4-6 a maximum of 19g.
