🌍 GLOBAL DENTAL WEEK | HOSPITALISATION & MOUTH CANCER SUPPORT 🌍

Did you know your Global Dental Scheme may provide benefits towards eligible hospitalisation and mouth cancer diagnoses?

Hospitalisation benefit
If you’re admitted to hospital as an inpatient for eligible dental or maxillofacial treatment, you may be able to claim up to £70 per overnight stay, subject to the scheme’s eligibility criteria and limits.

Mouth cancer benefit
If you receive a qualifying first diagnosis of mouth cancer while your dental plan is in place, a £2,500 fixed one-off payment may be available, subject to the scheme’s terms and conditions.

How to claim
Both benefits require a Request for Assistance Form, along with any supporting information. Claims must be submitted within 60 days of admission or diagnosis.

🌍 GLOBAL DENTAL WEEK | DENTAL EMERGENCY CALL-OUTS 🌍

Dental emergency? Dentist closed? 🚨🦷 Your Global Dental Scheme may provide benefits towards eligible out-of-hours emergency dental treatment.

This can include emergency examinations and treatment, X-rays, extractions, treatment of infection, temporary fillings and other eligible emergency care.

💷 Up to £200 per year may be available towards eligible emergency call-out costs. The first £15 of the call-out fee is not covered.

Even though here at Borestreet we do not offer a call out service, you will still be able to use the benefit by attending another practice offering an emergency call-out service, subject to the scheme requirements.

🌍 GLOBAL DENTAL WEEK | DENTAL ACCIDENTS, TRAUMA & INJURIES🌍

Accidents happen, and unfortunately sometimes our teeth can get caught in the middle! 😬

The Global Dental A&E Scheme can provide benefits for eligible dental treatment following an accident, including certain treatment involving damaged teeth and, where appropriate, implant treatment.

There are some important conditions and time limits to be aware of, so if you do have a dental accident, we recommend contacting your dentist as soon as possible and letting them know that you may wish to make a claim.

A little important information about the scheme:
The Global Dental A&E Scheme is a wholly discretionary scheme and is not an insurance scheme. Any request for assistance is considered in accordance with the scheme rules and benefits are provided at the discretion of the Scheme Manager. Meeting the criteria does not automatically guarantee that a benefit will be paid.

There are also individual benefit limits for different treatments, meaning the full cost of a particular treatment is not necessarily covered. The amount available will depend on the treatment required and the relevant scheme limit.

🌍🦷 GLOBAL DENTAL WEEK | EMERGENCY TREATMENT AWAY FROM HOME

Going away? ✈️ Whether you’re on holiday, visiting family or simply travelling further from home, it’s useful to know what support may be available through your dental plan if you experience an unexpected dental emergency.

Eligible Patient Plan members may be able to request assistance with emergency dental treatment when they are more than 25 miles from their registered dental practice.

If you need treatment, you can see any dentist, pay for the treatment and then submit a Request for Assistance with your supporting evidence and receipt. The relevant forms can be found online via the Global Dental Scheme website.

A little important information:
The Global Dental A&E Scheme is a wholly discretionary scheme and is not an insurance scheme. Any request for assistance is considered in accordance with the scheme rules and benefits are paid at the discretion of the Scheme Manager. Eligibility and the amount that may be reimbursed will depend on the circumstances of the request.

There are also different maximum benefit limits for different types of treatment, so the amount you can claim isn’t the same for every procedure. The full list of eligible treatments and their individual benefit limits can be found in the Global Dental Scheme Handbook.

✨ PATIENT CASE ✨

Another amazing Invisalign transformation here at Bore Street Dental Practice!

Our patient was unhappy with the crowding of their lower teeth, as well as the position of their upper front teeth. The two central teeth were sitting further back, while the teeth either side were pushed forwards, creating an uneven appearance.

Using Invisalign, we were able to improve the crowding and bring the teeth into a more balanced and harmonious position, creating a straighter more aesthetic smile, but still looking natural.

🌿✨ **Annual Garden Party ✨🌿

This time last week, we were busy setting up for our annual garden party!

A lovely evening spent celebrating our amazing team, enjoying some incredible food, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, some well-deserved time together outside of work.

Big thank you to thepattyfreaks for the amazing food and catering for such a large group of us, the whole process was super simple from enquiry to collection. And the food was as always ✨ perfection. ✨
