Patient update

Thank you so much to everyone who contacted us today. We have already exceeded our target number! Since we are still getting emails and phone calls, we have decided to keep the waiting list open till midnight.
After 17:00 please email your request on [email protected] as our phone line will be closed.

Any emails or phone calls after 12 tonight will not be added to the current waiting list. Hopefully we will manage to open our books again sometime next year.

We are pleased to announce that we will be opening our waiting list again on the 1st of December, but only for a short period of time.

Family Dental Clinic has exciting new job opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our friendly dental team! The ideal candidates for these positions will be friendly and professional individuals, confident being the first point of contact at our busy clinic, handling all client-related matters and reception duties.

🪥 The vacancy is a part-time permanent contract consisting of 14-21 hours per week including Saturdays (with the potential to increase your hours in the future + holiday cover).

🪥 The successful applicants must be a strong communicators, reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

🪥 The positions would be suitable for anyone wishing to begin a career in dentistry. Relevant training will be provided for the successful applicants.

Due to the high demand, we have decided to close our waitlist. The waitlist will be closed for the foreseeable and we will provide an update once we have the capacity to take on new patients again. 🙂

If you are not registered with us but need to book an emergency appointment please do not hesitate to contact us. We won't be able to take you on as a patient yet but can surely take away the pain! ✨

April is World Head and Neck Cancer month.

On Wednesday 24 April, Dr Abu-Eid and Dr Katie Hanna from the University of Aberdeen Institute Of Dentistry will travel to Shetland to co-host an Early Detection of Mouth Cancer Event at Islesburgh Community Centre.

There will be public mouth cancer drop-in screening clinics from 10am to 12.30pm in the morning and from 2pm to 4.30pm in the afternoon along with information and resources on mouth cancer for the general public to browse. There is no need to book, just come along.
