Leiston Dental Care are pleased to announce that we have a new hygienist joining the practice in October.
Aurea qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2024 from the University of Essex. She has been lucky enough to have gained a wealth of experience within the dental sector, as a dental nurse and practice manager over the past 16 years. She has a keen interest in working with those who are dentally anxious, focusing on prevention and she believes that her caring and calming approach helps build strong relationships with her new patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys backpacking around different countries. She is currently fundraising for a charity trip to Uganda. As a volunteer, she will be working with local dental partners to run outreach clinics in schools, orphanages, and slum areas providing safe, free dental treatment for some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world.

We are delighted to offer the warmest welcome to join our practice and hope that you will be patrons for many years to come. Our aim as your local dentist in Leiston is not only to provide care of consistently high quality, but to make this care affordable. Practice closure and a lack of NHS dentistry has created a shortfall within Leiston and the surrounding area and this is a failing that we intend to resolve.

Our practice works closely with Denplan to offer a range of care packages that compliment a wide range of budgets. Promoting regular attendance and prevention is at our core. Potential issues detected and treated early will result in minimal loss of tooth tissue, reduced need for complex treatment, minimal deterioration of function and reduced financial cost. Prevention most certainly is better than cure
