Waterer Dental Care is seeking a friendly Qualified Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our lovely team here in Leek Staffordshire. The role requires you to mainly perform reception duties however at times you will be required to work in surgery/decontamination room as a dental nurse.

The practice is fully private and offers a wide range of treatments including routine dental treatment, cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics, Implant/sinus lift surgery and cosmetic braces. We are currently looking for a bubbly, confident individual to join our experienced team.

Role requirements:

Reception duties

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

· Answer telephone calls

· Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing

· Book and amend Patient dental appointments

· Take payments for appointments and sundries sales

· Perform other banking duties

· Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages

· Provide administrative support to staff as needed

· Monitoring emails

Nursing duties

· Comfortable in assisting the clinical team in providing and maintaining outstanding patient care

· Confident in following practice decontamination and infection control policies and procedures and work to current guidelines and legislation in relation to confidentiality and GDPR

· Participate in, and contribute, to practice meetings

· Understand and follow the patient journey

· GDC Registered with up-to-date CPD including recent infection prevention control certificates

· Level 3 Dental Nurse Qualification or equivalent with current GDC Registration

Your Working hours will be: Mondays and Wednesdays 8am – 5pm, Tuesdays 9.30am – 6.30pm and Fridays 8am - 3pm. 1 hour lunch Monday – Wednesday and 30 minutes on a Friday. If preferred we could also accommodate full time hours working 8am - 5pm on a Thursday.

Full induction programme, full uniform and all PPE provided. Further training for additional qualification/roles/procedures will also be offered throughout employment.

Last Wednesday we said goodbye to one of our Dental nurses Sarah P.

Sarah P has worked at the practice for nearly 4 years and has had a long standing career in dentistry. She was seen at the practice working with all our clinicians assisting in surgery but most recently she had been working out on the reception desk too!

Sarah has gone to continue her career in dentistry in a role which greater suited her personal life.

She will be extremely missed by all staff at the practice and we wish her the best of luck in her new role.😃

Here at Waterer Dental Care we offer many different cosmetic treatments such as dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, teeth whitening and clear braces. We are able to accommodate a variety of patient budgets and can also offer finance options and discounts for advance payments.
We are heavily regulated by organisations such as the GDC, BDA and CQC, sadly this is not the case for treatment completed abroad which can and does go wrong, just like the poor gentleman in the article below.
