What is SLS? π€
Sodium lauryl sulphate is a foaming agent that is found in many personal hygiene items, such as shower gel, shampoo - and toothpaste!
Some people find that dental products irritate their mouths, the underlying cause is usually the SLS in their toothpaste.
Thankfully, there are several SLS-free products that still provide the vital fluoride protection needed to keep teeth strong and free from cavities.
Here are just some of the SLS-free toothpastes available on the market:
- Sensodyne Pronamel Daily Protection
- Sensodyne Pronamel Gentle Whitening
- Colgate Sensitive Instant Repair & Prevent
- Colgate Little Kids' Smiles 3+ Years Delicate Mint
- Corsodyl Active Gum Repair
- Corsodyl Ultra Clean Toothpaste
- Dentalux Complete Toothpaste
- Hi Smile (all varieties/flavours)
- Zendium (all varieties/flavours)
If you are unsure of which is best to suit your needs, speak to your dentist or hygienist at your next appointment.
