When thinking about citrus fruits and our teeth, we must be careful to consume them in moderation. Due to citrus fruits being so acidic, they can cause tooth decay, sensitivity and even discolouration.
However, that's not to say that you can't enjoy the health benefits of these fruits.

Here's some Dentist's tips to protect your teeth from acidic citrus fruits.
🍊 Wait at least 30 mins to brush your teeth after eating or drinking citrus fruits / juice to protect your enamel
🍋 Using a straw is a good way to protect your teeth when drinking fruit juices
🍈 If you can, drink the juice / lemon water all in one, rather than lots of sips that will contact your teeth each time
🍋 Rinse your mouth with water straight after eating or drinking fruit / juices
🧀 Eat some cheese afterwards! Cheese can increase PH levels and saliva production, helping to neutralise the acids.
