One of the hardest things in anterior composite, for me, is conforming.

When you’re bonding only one or two teeth, you don’t have the freedom to redesign the whole smile. Your composite has to blend with what’s already there — matching the proportions, contours, line angles, texture and, most importantly, the existing shade.

In this case, the patient wanted only the upper right central and lateral incisors modified to bring them more in line with the left side. No orthodontics. No whitening. Just a conservative composite approach while respecting the surrounding natural dentition.

Sometimes doing less is what makes a case more challenging.

Patient presented with a visible cavity — but completely asymptomatic.

Radiograph + AI-assisted analysis suggested deep dentinal caries, approaching the pulp 👀
So this wasn’t just a “routine filling”… it was about preserving vitality.

▫️ Matrix placement and wedge adaptation
▫️ Occlusal wall rebuilt with adhesive composite layering
▫️ Final anatomy sculpted and polished for a conservative, biomimetic result
