The practice shares the same premises as Dental Design laboratory and allows the dental team to work much more closely together. Leslie Wheatley is the owner of both The Bow Dental Centre and Dental Design. He qualified as a dental technician in the West Midlands in the 60’s and in the 70’s moved to Somerset and embarked on his own laboratory business. In the 90’s he qualified as a Clinical Dental
Technician (CDT) this means he is able to offer the denture patient a complete service from impression to fitting. David Chapman is the resident Dentist, he trained at The United Medical and Dental Schools in London. He has over ten years’ experience and has previously worked in Wincanton. He also spent a year as Senior House Officer in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. David is originally from the Wirral and settled in Somerset in 1998. • Having all the facilities on one site allows for a shorter turn around between appointments. Denture repairs, additions and relines can be carried out whilst the patient waits.
• Shade Taking (colour matching to the patients teeth) can be a collaborative process between the dentist and the technician to ensure the finest aesthetic finish.
