A beautiful smile doesn’t always mean treating every tooth.

In this case, composite bonding was carried out on just six upper teeth to close spaces, refine the proportions and create a more balanced smile. By carefully blending the bonding into the surrounding natural teeth, the result feels seamless rather than obvious.

Most people assume a “smile makeover” means treating 10+ teeth. In reality, it often doesn’t.

In this case, previous bonding on the upper right central was removed and refined, with new composite bonding placed on just three teeth

UR1, UL1 and UL2.

By carefully reshaping the central incisors and blending them seamlessly into the neighbouring teeth, we can transform the overall balance of the smile without unnecessary treatment.

That’s where the detail matters. When the proportions are right, you don’t need to change everything, you just need to change the right things.

Fewer teeth, more precision, and a result that looks natural rather than “done”.

Most people don’t want their teeth to look “done”.

They just don’t always know why some smiles look natural and others don’t.

Overly white, bulky, uniform teeth can look artificial because they ignore the small details that make a smile believable. Natural teeth have variation. Subtle differences in shape, proportion and edge detail are what make everything feel balanced.

That’s where the planning matters. We don’t aim to change teeth completely, we refine what’s already there. When the proportions are right and everything sits in harmony, the result doesn’t stand out as dentistry, it just looks like a great smile.
